Middletwin Keeps Getting Better: New Tools for Car Clubs and Car Shows

Since launching the new Middletwin platform, we’ve continued listening to administrators and turning their feedback into meaningful improvements.

Middletwin is built specifically for car clubs and car shows. Every new capability is designed to simplify club operations, improve the member experience, and reduce the manual work involved in organizing successful events.

The latest Middletwin improvements

Member Rides reporting and photo downloads

Club administrators can now review the vehicles members have added through the member portal.

The new Member Rides report allows authorized administrators to:

  • Search and filter member-entered vehicle information
  • Sort rides by member, year, make, or model
  • Download the visible results as a CSV file
  • Download photos for an individual ride
  • Download all Member Rides photos together in a ZIP file

This makes it easier to understand the vehicles represented within a club, organize member information, and use ride photos for authorized club activities.

A full-year activities calendar

Clubs can now view an entire year of activities on one screen.

The annual calendar makes it easier to review meetings, cruises, events, and other activities without moving through the calendar one month at a time. It can also be printed or saved as a PDF for sharing with members.

Better email-template editing

We’ve made several improvements to the email-template editor:

  • Template images can be resized to the desired width
  • Formatting controls more clearly show when options such as strike-through are active
  • Paragraph and signature spacing in delivered emails more closely matches the editor
  • Copied templates receive a new creation date, making them easier to find when sorting by newest

These changes make it easier for administrators to create polished emails without needing specialized design or HTML experience.

Online club elections

Clubs with elected officers can now conduct elections through the Middletwin member portal.

Administrators can create an election, define its voting period, add positions and candidates, and optionally allow write-in votes. Eligible adult members receive their ballot in the member portal and can vote securely online.

AI-powered administrator assistance

The Middletwin administrator portal now includes an AI-powered help assistant.

Administrators can ask questions about Middletwin features and receive guidance based on the platform’s administrator documentation. This provides help directly inside Middletwin without requiring administrators to search through a traditional knowledge base.

Built-in support tickets and administrator notifications

Administrators can now report defects and request features from within Middletwin.

The support workspace allows customers to create and follow tickets, add comments, and privately attach screenshots. System notifications also provide administrators with information about new features, important updates, scheduled maintenance, and required actions.

Reliability improvements

We have also continued improving the reliability of essential workflows, including:

  • Event and ticket purchase completion
  • Purchase confirmation emails
  • New-account provisioning
  • Tenant database validation
  • Member and administrator portal behavior

Purpose-built for car clubs and car shows

Many clubs still manage their shows and day-to-day operations using spreadsheets, disconnected services, paper forms, and repetitive manual processes.

Middletwin brings those responsibilities together in one platform designed specifically for the automotive community.

Depending on the club’s needs, Middletwin can help manage:

  • Car-show registration
  • Participant and vehicle records
  • Dash cards and packing slips
  • Ticket and merchandise sales
  • Judging and voting
  • Club memberships and renewals
  • Member portals and directories
  • Activities and recurring meetings
  • Email campaigns and automated message flows
  • Online elections
  • Club stores, files, pages, and communications

Middletwin isn’t generic membership software adapted for car clubs. It is a complete club and car-show management platform built around the way automotive organizations actually operate.

The New Middletwin Arrives with Powerful Upgrades

Middletwin has reached a major milestone: our completely modernized platform is now live.

This update is more than a redesign. Middletwin has been rebuilt on a modern application and hosting foundation to improve security, reliability, and performance. These changes position us to deliver new features more quickly. They also reduce risk and support ongoing maintenance.

This upgrade to car club management software enhances security and reliability for our community. We improved performance and scalability to support more members and clubs. The changes empower faster updates and better service through a modern infrastructure. Ongoing maintenance is easier, and security monitoring is more effective.

Purpose-built for car clubs and car shows

Car clubs and car shows have needs that generic membership and event platforms frequently overlook.

A club may need to manage memberships, renewals, family members, and member communications. It also handles activities, files, merchandise, classifieds, and member vehicles across volunteers and staff. Car club management software can simplify these tasks and improve member engagement for everyone involved.

Additionally, a car show may need participant registration, classes, judging, voting, tickets, vendors, and volunteers. It also requires merchandise, dash cards, confirmation materials, and show-day operations. This helps coordinate these elements and deliver a smooth event. Additionally, this adds efficiency and reduces errors.

Middletwin brings those functions together in one connected platform built specifically for the automotive community.

What’s new?

AI-powered help

Administrators can use the new AI Help Assistant directly within the admin portal. It can explain Middletwin features, permissions, setup options, and common workflows without requiring administrators to search through pages of documentation.

Contextual “What is this?” help can also explain a feature while an administrator is using it.

Integrated support tickets

Administrators can now report defects, request features, attach screenshots, receive responses, and follow the complete conversation from within Middletwin.

The ticket system of car club management software also lets customers see previously reported requests. Additionally, it does so without exposing the identity, club, comments, or screenshots of another customer.

A better email experience

The updated car club management software tools include a visual template builder with inline editing and drag-and-drop content blocks.

They offer formatting controls, image uploads, and personalized fields, along with test emails and sender validation.

A safety feature protects against leaving the page with unsaved changes.

Middletwin also supports message flows: automated sequences that welcome a new member and then send information over time, such as instructions for accessing the member portal. These sequences can be tailored to member status and timing to improve engagement and retention.

Moreover, this capability can be part of car club management software to coordinate onboarding and ongoing education. By automating messages about portal access and club benefits, the platform saves staff time and keeps members informed. Consistency reduces confusion and improves participation.

A modern member portal

The updated member portal provides members with access to club posts, rides, activities, and events. They can view announcements, join activities, and track upcoming gatherings in one secure place. This streamlined access supports member engagement and simplifies participation for everyone.

It also offers files, store products, classifieds, roster and membership details, payments, and renewal options. All features are organized to save time and improve club coordination. Automatic reminders help members stay current with dues and events. The portal’s clear structure makes navigation intuitive across devices.

These features are powered by car club management software. It integrates with payments, memberships, and communications to streamline operations. Admins gain better visibility and control over member data. Overall, the portal shows how modern solutions support operational needs. This alignment with best practices helps clubs attract members and reduce administrative overhead.

Uploaded images are resized and stored efficiently, and portal moderators can help manage member-submitted content.

Expanded event and car show tools

Middletwin supports far more than basic ticket sales. Clubs and organizers can manage:

  • Participant and vehicle registration
  • Registration classes and options
  • Tickets, dinners, merchandise, and event add-ons
  • Vendor and swap spaces
  • Volunteers and worker assignments
  • Maps and event information
  • People’s Choice and judged voting
  • Dash cards, packing slips, orders, and printable results
  • Purchase verification and additional purchases after an initial order

Events can also appear on the member activity calendar, allowing members to move naturally from a club activity to event registration.

Improved reporting and administration with car club management software

The new platform includes improved financial views, downloadable data, deployment version visibility, stronger error monitoring, administrator security, multi-factor authentication, guided account setup, and automated background services.

Built for what comes next

The modernized architecture gives Middletwin a stronger foundation for continued development. It allows us to improve the platform more safely, test critical workflows more thoroughly, monitor production more effectively, and introduce features that were difficult to support in the previous system.

Most importantly, Middletwin remains focused on the people doing the work: club officers, membership coordinators, event organizers, volunteers, and members.

Take another look at Middletwin

If your organization evaluated Middletwin in the past, the platform has changed substantially. We invite you to take another look.

If your car club or car show is still piecing together spreadsheets, email tools, payment systems, forms, and generic event software, Middletwin offers a connected alternative created specifically for you.

Midwest Mopars in the Park knocks it out of the Park again using Middletwin

Midwest Mopars in the Park is one of the top 3 all Mopar shows in the nation and according to Mopar Collectors Guide one of the “Must go to” shows for all Mopar enthusiasts. The 40th anniversary show in 2024 was no exception, with 1200 show cars and specialty displays that included nearly every color of 1971 Cuda, an A12 reunion, and 15 if the rare and unique A100 pick trucks and vans, we can see why.

But behind all of the amazing cars the Midwest Mopars car club, a nearly 500 member club based out of Minnesota, relies heavily on the Middletwin platform to help make the show come together and run as smooth as possible.

With Middletwin, the club can setup the shows details like car classes, online pre-registration, volunteer signup and management, and swap space management. Also, because Middletwin is a proven cloud based SAAS platform, multiple club and show managers are able to access the same data at the same time in realtime, reducing the need to email around documents.

With online pre-registration, participants can register online using a credit card, reducing the need to have participants write out their information and mail a check, and saving club volunteers from having to try to read poor handwriting and go to the bank to deposit checks – that sometimes bounce! This makes the process very easy, and with the low (currently 2.9%) processing fee, is a win for everyone.

Show staff are able to setup volunteers and schedules online to meet their needs. Any open shifts can be made available for members or public to see and signup for online.

With the built in communication tools staff can easily create and send beautiful emails to participants of the show to inform them of any changes to the show, like road construction or schedule changes.

The Middletwin team is proud to have been the technology behind the Mopars in the Park car show for the last 12 years and we look forward to continuing to grow and be a part of the Midwest Mopars car clubs solutions in the future.

Refunds (not tax refunds)

Middletwin group and event mangement platform

Middletwin is the premiere platform for clubs to use to manage their membership, events, and communications. With this latest update, available today, Middletwin makes tracking and managing credit card purchases super easy, and now you can also refund credit card transactions.

Lets face it, sometimes accidental credit card purchases happen, weather is a duplicate charge or an accidental purchase, or whatever the case might be, they happen. With this latest update club administrators with admin, finance, or membership management permission, can easily issue a credit card refund with the click of a button.

Middletwin uses Stripe for all our credit card processing, and Stripe will also handle the refund processing. Refunds typically take 5-10 days to process, and the Middletwin club will not incur any additional fees for the refund processing, but will still be responsible for the original fees associated with the initial purchase.
