Resetting an administrators multi-factor authentication
If an administrator needs to change their multi-factor authentication settings, they will need to have an administrator with “Account Administration” permissions or Middletwin support reset it for them.
For an account administrator to do this they will have to
- Log into their account
- Goto the “Logins” app
- Select the account admin that they want to reset
- Set the logins “Multi Factor Authentication Type” to “Mobile”
- Set the Mobile Phone country Code” to US 1
- Clear out anything that is set in the “Mobile Phone” field
- Save the login
After doing these steps the login will be set up to its default setting for multi factor authentication and the next time the administrator logs in the system will take them through the steps of setting up their own Multi-factor authentication settings.
Note that an administrator can just set the setting the way the user desires if they prefer.
